Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

 

Location: Kaduna

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Summary

 

As the Quality Assurance Officer at Pullus Africa, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the consistent production of high-quality, safe poultry products.

This role will oversee all quality control measures throughout the poultry production process, from converting the raw materials to final product packaging and distribution.

The Quality Assurance officer will work closely with the purchase, extension, and logistics teams to uphold rigorous quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

 

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs, including quality control procedures, inspections, and audits

Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner

Conduct regular testing and analysis of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished poultry products to verify compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality specifications

Document quality control activities and maintain detailed records to demonstrate process control

Carry out research and development exercises to evaluate new technologies, equipment, and processes that can enhance product quality and operational efficiency

Train and supervisestaff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures

Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders

Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices in poultry production.

Requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree in food science, food technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the poultry or food processing industry.

Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO and food safety standards.

Proficiency in data analysis and the use of quality control software.

Excellent documentation, auditing and reporting skills.
