Job Title: Internal Control Supervisor

 

Locations: Abuja (FCT) , Kaduna, Kano and Kwara

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Summary

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Control Supervisor to lead the internal control function across our branches.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, identifying operational risks, and strengthening control measures to safeguard the company’s assets and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

 

Supervise and coordinate internal control activities across all branches.

Perform periodic checks to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct investigations into irregularities, report findings, and recommend corrective actions.

Review financial transactions, disbursements, collections, and reconciliations to identify gaps or risks.

Support management in enhancing the internal control framework and fraud prevention mechanisms.

Provide training and guidance to branch staff on internal control standards and compliance expectations.

Prepare detailed reports on control findings, risk exposures, and branch performance.

Qualifications & Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal control, internal audit, or compliance in a financial institution.

Sound understanding of microfinance operations and internal control principles.

Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.

Ability to lead a team, work independently, and handle confidential information.

High ethical standards and a commitment to professional excellence.
